The Faculty Multimedia Center will be opening for in-person appointments starting July 8th. There are specific guidelines that we have put in place to ensure the safety of both faculty and staff. Below are the Summer 2020 FMC Guidelines. Please read these carefully before scheduling an appointment. We are stilling offering virtual appointments and consultations. If booking a virtual appointment, please mention that in the ‘Additional Notes’ section when booking. Please be patient as we book appointments.

Summer 2020 FMC Guidelines


We are so excited to have you back in the FMC. We’ve missed seeing everyone! Due to COVID-19, we are putting some extra precautions in place in order to protect everyone using the space and other people working in the building. These guidelines are for use of the FMC this summer though we may adjust guidelines prior to Fall 2020.  


We will not be accepting walk-in appointments this summer. All appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please be considerate if you plan to cancel an appointment and let us know as soon as possible. Of course, if you are sick or have a fever please do not hesitate to cancel your appointment.  

Appointments will be available MWF between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Only one station can be used per appointment to reduce the amount of sanitation needed between appointments. We will have a maximum of two stations in use simultaneously.  

There are two lightboard stations available for the summer and all other stations will be available.  Both lightboard stations will have Camtasia available in the same space. If you plan to edit your lightboard footage after you’re done recording, please give yourself enough time within your appointment.  

Safety Precautions 

We will be sanitizing stations in between each appointment meaning there will be a 1-hour break between each appointment. We are also hoping to stagger appointment start times. For example, if an appointment is already booked for a 10 a.m. start time, try to book your appointment for a 10:30 a.m. start time. This will help us get prepared for the next appointment and reduce the amount of people in the common area. Per university guidance we require that everyone wear a mask in the common area, but you are welcome to take off the mask in the private recording spaces. If you are sick, have a fever, or feeling under the weather in any way, please cancel your appointment and stay home. Please be courteous, patient, and aware of those in the space and in the building.  

Campus Access

It is recommended you find a surface lot to park as some parking garages are closed. Additionally, the external doors to Classroom Building 1 may be locked. If so, please call the FMC (407-823-0519) and we will come down to let you in for your appointment.
